We Still Subbing

Three years ago, when Keyakizaka46 was standing at Tokyo Dome, Ozono Rei had not entered the group yet. This fact has always been on her mind, even after her activities in Sakurazaka46 went into full swing. Now that she has stood in Tokyo Dome, which she has longed for, and came in contact with the memories of Keyakizaka46, we can't take our eyes off her evolution. About standing in Tokyo Dome   Q When you first heard you were going to hold a concert in Tokyo Dome, what were your thoughts? Ozono: The second generation members, including myself, thought “Isn’t it too early?”. I remember talking with (Tamura) Hono-chan and Matsuda (Rina) about how it's not so much that we will stand in the Tokyo Dome, but rather we are given the chance to stand there. After that, we learned about (Sugai) Yuuka-san’s plan to graduate.   Each of their twenty years of age Q Have the three of you ever had a photoshoot before…? Karin: It’s our first time. Q I’m curious about what kind of relationship the three of you have. How do the two of you see Fujiyoshi-san? Rei: Karin-chan is generally a free-spirited person. When we had a photoshoot on the roof just now, the two of us were doing our best to keep our eyes open against the sunlight, but Karin-chan pretty much kept them closed (laughs).   Masumoto Kira Please tell us the reason you auditioned for the Sakamichi joint audition. I was very influenced by my Sakamichi group seniors, so I also wanted to become a person who moves people both physically and mentally like my seniors. Please tell us what “was as expected” and what “was different” between the image you held of Keyakizaka46 and what it was like when you actually joined. I had the impression that there would be a lot of people who were cool even when they weren’t performing. As expected, even though during rehearsals and on stage everyone put on fierce facial expressions and their intensity heightened even more when watching them on the monitor, in the dressing room the mood shifts to something that would suit a gentle meadow. When does your tension rise? Whenever I have nothing to do, and Onuma-san is close to me. When my tension rises my voice becomes loud and I become unaware of my surroundings. There’s a serene atmosphere that surrounds the girl who grew up not knowing the hustle and bustle of the city. As if at a walking pace, comfortably.  -------- When speaking of Ozono-san, there’s a strong impression of “interesting blogs”. Thank you very much (laughs). I write them in the way that I want to, but actually at first, I consulted the staff about it. Is it fine to keep writing them the way that I am now, would it be better if I wrote it more cutesy, I was troubled. Then they told me, “Write in the way that you want to”, and then I thought, “Okay, I’ll write the way I like!”, so it turned into that style of writing. Even the story about how you were saved by Keyakizaka46’s “Eccentric”; although the content was “as heavy as a dumbbell”, it was written in a light-hearted and witty way.
